Franchise Business Leaders Optimistic About 2010
Found a good franchising industry article posted on the San Diego Source that talks about how franchise business leaders are optimistic that despite the lingering recession and small business lending issues that 2010 will be a better year for the industry than 2009.
I would have to agree with this overall assessment as I dont hink it could possibly get any more challenging than 2009 was. I think the biggest obstacle to growth in the franchise industry will again be the lack of credit and financing for small business owners to finance the purchase of a new franchise business. Im seeing more and more franchisers moving to offer "In house" financing which confirms my prediction that franchise financing in 2010 could potentially still be a serious issue. Hopefully I will be proven wrong...
